About us

Established in 2003, Fair Pley is a Glasgow-based arts production company.  We produce/promote a range of events, including music, theatre, comedy, and special events.

In the last ten years Fair Pley has delivered and developed projects working with a broad range of partner organisations including Scottish Prison Service (SPS), The Co-operative, housing associations, tertiary education institutions, Trade Unions and a range of third sector organisations, national charities and voluntary organisations, as well as commercial partners.

We have produced events at major festivals, including Edinburgh Fringe, Celtic Connections, Aye Write, Belladrum Tartan Heart frestival, Glasgow International Comedy festival, amongst others and have established a strong reputation in delivering professional event management, theatre and music tours, publishing and recording.

We have worked collaboratively with a number of leading Scottish actors, musicians, performers, playwrights and poets. This has included commissioning and touring original drama, publishing books and producing original pieces of music.  We produce the “Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas” a collaboration with Edinburgh’s universities to promote academics’ wider engagement with non-academic audiences in a stimulating and unconventional format.

We have also supported the development of Friends of May Day, a cultural organisation seeking to build the link between the May Day public holiday and a broad range of cultural activities. In four years the organisation has grown from organising a one-off event in Glasgow to developing a week long programme encompassing a range of cultural activities and events, together with a small touring network across four local authority areas.

We have developed employment and training opportunities for young people in a variety of arts-based settings.
